The Internet can be an overwhelming place when it comes to finding reputable information on the paranormal, the survival of consciousness (life after death) and psychic abilities. Here are several sites that are worthwhile resources for anyone interested in these subjects.

Noetic.org ~ The Institute for Noetic Sciences

This association, founded in 1973 by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, seeks to “support individual and collective transformation through consciousness research…in the realization of our human potential.”  The institute offers an array of information on death and dying, intuition, parapsychology, spirituality and more. Its research focuses on three primary areas:

  • consciousness and healing,
  • worldview transformation,  and
  • extended human capabilities.

Atransc.org ~ Association TransCommunication

This is the go-to site if you want to learn how to correctly collect instrumental spirit communication (evidence of the paranormal through audio recorders, camcorders and cameras). This group—which focuses primarily on how spirit communication can lessen grief and alleviate the fear of death—provides a good overview on best practice techniques, including how to detect false positives on voice and video recording. There are great step-by-step instructions to help you conduct a credible investigation.

Rhine.org ~ The Rhine

The Rhine, which aims to bridge the gap between science and spirituality, was founded by Joseph B. Rhine, who also headed Duke University’s parapsychology studies in the 1950s and 1960s. This site discusses telepathy, clairvoyance, remote viewing, precognition and survival stories (i.e. paranormal experiences). It also presents research, holds meetings and publishes the Journal of Parapsychology.
