To dwell in the material world, all life rises from the Earth. Our bodies are comprised of the minerals, water and bacteria found in our environment. The Holy Dark, fueled by the Great I Am’s Creation/Earth Energy, makes life possible on our planet.
The Holy Dark supports all material beings. In the soils, where roots take hold, sprouting plants feed us and make our atmosphere inhabitable. In the lightless ocean depths, our climates form, bringing necessary moisture to the land. But perhaps the best example of the Holy Dark is the womb, which protects, nourishes and grows a new life.
As we were being born, our souls (creations of the Sacred Light) merged with our bodies (creations of the Holy Dark), crafting a human that is as much spiritual as it is physical.
In short, we need the Holy Dark not only to survive, but to thrive.
The Holy Dark’s role
Many of us fear the dark. We describe it as gloomy, dim, murky, shadowy. We worry about what lurks in the night. In reality, we have no reason to fear the Holy Dark as it’s there to help us through our Earthly journey.
The Holy Dark supports our physical and mental well-being. It complements the Sacred Light, which feeds our spiritual and emotional needs like love, faith and connection. The Holy Dark, like the Sacred Light, are expressions of the Most Loving.
We may notice the Holy Dark when it’s time for us to slow down, rest or regroup. Similar to nighttime, we can use this time for rejuvenation.
Also, the Holy Dark challenges us with obstacles to awaken our need to reconnect with our heavenly roots. These trials force us to look beyond ourselves, increasing our strength and our faith. They expand our outlook, our empathy. They grow our souls.
There are two types of darkness
During meditation, I was surprised to learn that there are two types of darkness: the Holy Dark and the unproductive darkness. This second type of darkness is fear-driven; it blocks our ability to sense the Sacred Light in all situations. It leaves us focusing solely on our physical being, fostering greed, insecurity, division and hopelessness.
When we choose the unproductive dark, we deny the spiritual aspects integral to our balanced wellness and happiness. We buy into the illusion that we must have complete control. We discard our faith in something bigger than humanity. We end up feeling sorry for ourselves. The truly scary aspect of this is that it’s this state of mind that invites toxic energy into our being. We end up believing all that exists is only what we can see. Also, we forget we’re creatures of the Sacred Light.
Repel the unproductive dark
When you shift your mindset and increase your personal awareness, you can ground yourself in the Holy Dark. Ask yourself:
- Am I consistently thinking solely of myself?
- Have I rationalized an “Us vs. Them” mentality?
- Do I live in a state of fear or worry?
- Do I focus on what I lack, instead of what I possess?
- Do I feel I must be the master of my circumstances?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, pray and meditate to be shown your Sacred Light. Ask it to lead you back to your Holy Dark. Recognize that your Divine Team and the Most Loving are always present to assist you. All you need to do is ask.
You can further honor the Holy Dark through regularly grounding yourself. Here is my preferred grounding practice:
- Sit quietly and place both feet solely on the floor, ground or soil. Do not cross your legs.
- Ask your Divine Team to clear the channel between the Heavenly Realm and yourself.
- Ask for the Divine’s Sacred Light to flow from the heavens to the crown of your head.
- Feel the warm white light drift down and fill your body.
- Visualize roots growing from the bottom of your feet and watch them reach deep into the Earth’s core.
- Ask for the Creation/Earth energy to travel up those roots and enter your body.
- Picture the bright white light mixing with the rich brown light from the Earth. Feel the energies meld to create a warm golden light. Let it fill you. Let it overflow you.
- Thank the Great I Am for the gifts of the Holy Dark and Sacred Light.
When you acknowledge your blessed duality, you’ll find that when you can’t physically see, your energetic sight takes over. You’re never blind when you honor the Most Loving’s gifts of the Holy Dark and Sacred Light.
