We all experience times when we feel we have little control over our lives. Personal struggles, natural disasters, world events and more fuel our sense of doom. What helps best in these situations is to change our perspective from an earthly one to a spiritual one.
By tapping into our heavenly home, we realize that our existence on earth is limited, yet precious.
Most of my adult life, I’ve been stricken with mast cell activation disease. There is no cure. At times, I’ve mired myself in helplessness, depression and inadequacy. Only recently, I’ve realized my perceptions aren’t real: they’re merely an illusion. One caused when I dwell on myself as solely a physical being.
When I see myself as a body, I dwell on my physical inabilities. This leaves me feeling more vulnerable, less than others and deprived. At those times, I feed the can’ts in my life (insomnia, pain, weakness, severe allergies). These thoughts limit me and leave me feeling victimized.
However, when I shift my perspective and focus on what’s possible through my soul, I become limitless. I profoundly feel my connection to the Most Loving and tap into the expansiveness of the spiritual/heavenly realm. Working with the Divine Realm helps me realize my wholeness. I can more easily love deeply, help others, and experience a profound connection to all Creation. I rediscover my personal worth and know that I have a purpose in coming to Earth.
Seeing myself through a spiritual lens, I focus on my energetic potential. I spend time being present, expressing gratitude, praying, chanting and meditating. This allows me to reframe negative thought patterns into empowering ones.
Meditation is a powerful technique for shifting my perspective. It takes me to my true spiritual home. It calms my physical being, uplifts my soul and clears my mind. It gives me perspective and prepares me to receive insight. I connect to a place where my energy/soul is recognized. In meditation, I take a break from the physical.
I know with a certainty that the same applies to you.
Disease and other hardships cannot limit or alter our souls. We carry all that is genuinely ourselves: our values, our capacity to love and how we treat others. Our bodies have never been our real selves.
When we cross over, will people remember our physique or how much we could do physically? Or will they remember how we treated them and what we stood for? From our deathbeds, we won’t recall the material aspects of life, but the connection we shared with others.
In the energetic world, we’re never judged and we’re not only enough; we’re limitless.
