Our earthly existence offers profound insight and growth

The harshness of the material world contrasts our heavenly home’s atmosphere of unconditional love. So why would we want to leave such a blissful existence?

Because it’s in the physical where our actions and thoughts in the face of adversity (as well as the repercussions of those actions and thoughts) can exponentially:

  • widen our perspective on our own energetic existence,
  • increase our awe of the Most Loving and Its creation, and
  • expand our soul in ways that life solely spent in the divine realm cannot.

The reasons we come to Earth
This realm shows us how to exist in aggressive, difficult environments.
When we encounter hardship, we wake up to the importance of being empathetic, helpful and loving to all creatures. We understand we have a responsibility not to add to society’s mayhem, but to reject greed, competition and fear. When we choose the higher path of love, kindness and respect, we help others see God’s light beckoning to them.

We learn to love those we find difficult.
Our challenge here is to love and care about others, especially those outside of our closest circles. We find that those who challenge us help us to see more clearly within ourselves. We can feel the same divine spark within them that is within us as well. We see beyond the facades of those who lash out at us, so we can more easily show kindness to them. For we realize they’ve forgotten that they’re spiritual beings.

We learn what it’s like to need and not receive.
We must earn a living so we can afford shelter, food, medical care and clothing, among others. All of us experience conditions at some point that leave us feeling vulnerable and lacking something essential to our well-being. Like losing a job. Health issues. The passing of a loved one. Relationship fractures. If we never came to the physical, we wouldn’t understand scarcity because our heavenly existence provides us with all we need. This contrast forges a deeper appreciation of our spiritual home.

Death is nothing to fear. Our existence is limitless.
On Earth, we face death and the decline of not only our bodies, but the bodies of our loved ones. Once we spiritually awaken, though, we understand that the physical is a short period in our overall eternal existence. The death of our physicality is merely a transition. We appreciate our time here and work to increase our presence of mind to fully enjoy the blessings of living in the material dimension.

Even with the challenges I’ve faced, I’m grateful for the opportunity to be human.

What’s routine in our spiritual form is extraordinary in our Earthly one
As we strengthen our awareness of our spiritual nature, we realize that everything we possessed in the heavenly realm we still possess here.

We can bring heaven to Earth. Each of us plays a vital role in healing the Earth and in healing ourselves from the injuries inflicted on us during this existence.

As we grow comfortable with the fact that we are primarily spiritual beings, we release the hectic mindset that results from buying into the material world’s limitations. We see a greater purpose in our existence.

I propose we focus on seeing God’s handiwork in everything and honor the sacred in all people, animals and Creation. To fully offer ourselves as vessels for the Most Loving to work through us.

Earth offers us enlightenment if we dare to work, think and act differently than society pressures us to.
