All life is linked. While we remain distinct individuals, we’re here to contribute to Creation’s betterment. So how can we respect our differences when people have varying priorities and nature can seem at odds with our goals?

Harmony.

Harmony is highly fluid and adaptable. It uplifts others without lowering our own energy. It empowers us to complement the whole by injecting holy love and sacred light into any situation. This act refuses to condemn others and, instead, illuminates the dark corners where those hurt retreat in fear. Harmony doesn’t break others to reach a healthy, energetic balance. Instead, it shows them what’s possible without them losing their true essence.

We can contribute to harmony when we use our God-given gifts to elevate all. It forms a united sound from many voices. We contribute our unique tone, pitch and quality, creating a richer, more complex sound. We can also think of harmony as a tapestry. Each thread is integral to the story being woven. If a thread goes missing, a hole appears that another color cannot fix.

Harmony requires respect. Without respect, we disconnect and feel threatened by those we perceive as different. The same holds for the Earth. Mother Nature struggles when we don’t honor the water, air, plants and wildlife that are integral to our existence.

Peace arises out of harmony. We must set aside our greed and fear of lacking what we need to thrive. This is the only way to create an equilibrium where we all matter.

Achieving inner harmony
Before we can make a positive contribution to Creation, we must integrate and nurture our own mind, body and spirit. We become whole when we equally honor all aspects of our being. If we neglect our body, our spirituality and mental wellness suffer. If we solely focus on our physical needs, our spiritual side atrophies. Neglecting one area hurts our wholeness.

Achieving harmony with others
It can be hard to respect those who share wildly different views from us. But it’s necessary. Everyone has a role to play in this world. Some are even here to instigate us to act. In these cases, let’s be the counterbalance. The ones standing up for love, connection and respect.

As we spiritually evolve, we begin to understand that most issues have more sides than just pro and con. It’s a series of viewpoint gradations based on people’s experiences, cultures and financial stability. This shapes our views on life, especially in politics. None of us are cookie-cutter clones. Each of us are one-of-a-kind, bringing our own perspective and talents to the tapestry being woven at this time.

Unity can rise despite our differences.

Achieving harmony with the planet
Natural disasters. Climate extremes. Frightening wildlife. The planet seems fraught with elements trying to drag humanity down. Some of these risks are due to the Earth being out of balance with its inhabitants. We can heal the world through harmonizing with it, instead of depleting its resources. We can also replace our fear of wildlife with a healthy respect that honors their places in ecosystems that have been overrun with development.

Harmony results in balance
When we accept that the Earth and its beings play a vital role in healing humanity and the planet, we can more easily find our life purpose. We learn how our actions, thoughts and behaviors add dimension, clarity, light and love to the Whole.

When more of us practice harmony than those who don’t, we’ll shift the balance from blaming and hatred to respect and empowerment. We won’t be as quick to make assumptions about who someone else “really is.” We’ll realize that life is not about winning a competition. Or destroying someone’s culture or uprooting a forest to pave it over.

Let’s disagree respectfully. Let’s get to the root of what humanity needs to elevate ourselves as a species and become better stewards of the planet The Most Loving has entrusted to us. Harmony resides in the best interests of all.
